BGM Narrow Inserts for Parting Designed to Save Material Costs
Highlights
ISCAR is introducing narrow inserts (0.8 - 1.5 mm) for material saving and suitable tools for economical parting and grooving up to 20 mm diameters (Tmax=10 mm).
The new inserts are available in 0.8, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.5 mm widths with straight, 6º and 15º frontal cutting edges. The tools are available with 16, 20 and 25 mm shank sizes.

- Superior to any current parting system with these widths
- Strong and reliable screw clamping system, improved rigidity
- Second cutting edge can be used in case of breakage
- Insert breakage will not damage the tool
- J-type chipformer for up to 0.1 mm/rev feed
- Excellent surface finish and part straightness
Additional features
- SThe inserts are made from IC1008 (08 substrate + PVD coating TiAlN)
- JHP cooling system up to 340 bar

- Parting of slim parts
- Parting of thin wall tubes
- Parting of expensive materials; the narrow cut saves material
- Excellent for general use in parting applications
